Okay, I kinda failed at attempting to write a daily blog but I’m not even gonna stress about that anymore. I’ll blog whenever.
Yesterday I was so indecisive whether to actually go on a ride or not. The sky was gray and ominous, plus I didn’t have much time until it got dark. The ground was dry but the chance of rain was still alive. I stressed pretty hard about the decision of staying in or going out, but I gladly stayed in and was ecstatic that it rained later on in the day. I would’ve been pretty upset if I was caught in the rain while on a ride. It’s these little things that stress me out. It’s just rain right? CA is so bipolar, its weather is so unpredictable, i hate it.
Later that evening I went on the trainer with the intent of doing a 1 hour session, but cut it short because i saw my tire tread disintegrating. Damn, I really NEED a extra set of wheels, or an extra rear wheel just for the trainer. I’d love that and I wouldn’t be so bummed out missing a ride (outside) due to rainfall. But because of the wet weather, I’ve missed 4 full days of training, so inconsistent. I’m doing my best not to think so hard about it.. life goes on. I know we need the rain anyways.
I have a race at stanford this weekend, and I don’t think Im ready at all. Guess we’ll see what happens? Collegiate racing is suppose to be fun anyways, not that serious. This is all just self-reassurance, but it’s kinda helping, it just needs some time. Regardless of how poor i perform this weekend, I know it’ll be fun with the SF State team.
Okay I think that’s all. I hope my thoughts end along with this blog. Til next time, whenever that is.
